Lakeside Joint School District’s Budget Advisory Committee Purpose

The Budget Advisory Committee will be a committee charged with developing recommendations to share with the Superintendent with respect to budget planning for the  Lakeside Joint School District. The committee’s purpose is not to audit the District’s financial operations, but to be familiar with the District’s financial data in order to offer suggestions to help improve the District’s fiscal position moving forward.

The Role of the Budget Advisory Committee is to:

  • Seek and provide community input on budget priorities to District  
  • Seek and provide community Input regarding budget transparency to the District
  • Help communicate district budget information to community
  • Generate possible ideas for alternative revenues, maximize resources
